So with the house packed and the guys on their way to take all of our stuff down to Michigan we're girding our loins for the long drive down ourselves. Saturday is predicted to be full of thunderstorms and rain and general nastiness and of course we have over 600 minles to drive - most of it on the same piece of freeway. We've rented a car (you rent cars in America and hire people), we've trimmed the amount that we're carrying and we're ready to rock. Here's hoping it all is as smooth as a Vegas stripper's what-not

i have just taken delivery of an exciting package from mr s j w of New York - i was beginning to think the British Postal Service had struck again... (Better than the American Postal Service striking out with high powered weaponary i suppose). Got my new camera today too - so am beside myself with glee and excitement and am in your debt. At least I know how the camera works... the rest I will figure out.
Just had lunch with HO, AM and RMcK who you might not know, there were general hellos, and from Drew also. I have a horrible feeling you're coming to London when we're all away, we shall confer on that when you've unpacked all the cats from the boxes (or let them out the bag) and introduced the dog to Michigan postmen.
