Lasik day

I have Lasik today. The old fashioned, PRK, eyeball peeling, 5 days of contacts, 4 months of sun glasses Lasik. I'm not doing it for vanity or even for convenience. I'm doing it for the metaphor... the idea of seeing things in a new way, relying less on tools I know and on being freed up to do things sans excuses is the lure.

Still I do feel a little like this about it all.
