Song Zero

So last night America chose Kris Allen - the Gap wearing, side mouthed singing, bedroom strummer with the pleasant voice, inoffensive blonde wife, background in Church Music and penchant for the bland - over Big Tranny Adam.

Once again proving that when it comes down to it America is going to stick to the middle of the road as though there are corn dogs buried there.

I mean the man is Maroon 5 - Lite. He's a busker without the balls to hit the sidewalk. He's oatmeal... with a huge blob of caramel cream (hetrosexuality and churchy-ness) thrown in to sweeten the mouthful of mulch.

I am so glad we're outta here

Things what is happened today

Our new sofa arrived today, ahead of schedule but not before time and so the day has been a whirl of cushion making (Jude), feet attaching (Jude) and giant box disposing (Steve)...

Yes I know that we said that the last sofa would live forever - but in truth it was a cat hair trap, we made a terrible mistake not getting it in leather and the price of reupholstery showed us why reupholsterers (a real word that spell check won't allow) dress exclusively in Ermine and endangered species.

Gym is back on in earnest. Final doctor's check is cleared, Canada company numbers are pending and a little surprise that I planned for Judith is 95% ready... one last push and I have it.

Plus I talked to some lovely people in Toronto today - and they seemed very keen to work together. Hurrah, cause I likes
em

Mind... the new sofa reeks....

So little to write about here...

... that I fear I may be dead.

We went to a dog walk... where Velcro got over-excited
We went to see some ice-skating... where I got over excited
And we drew up a menu for the week - and started with a curried fish

In between was a Mongolia movie on a friend's new Internet TV
And a celebration for a friend who just got promoted

And I kept working on photos...

Day to day - but not awful
