The End... for now

It seems that my doctor was right. I am now officially boring.

So until the results come back bad signalling relapse and a proximity to death that gives this the edge that it is missing right now I'll wind this down and bore you no more.

I guess that this really is the perfect outcome. No drama. No high stakes. No will he / won't he? Just a return to everyday life... but an everyday life that's happier, healthier and less stressed than before I started writing.

Dakota - over to you girl

This means you'll actually have to start writing people emails and calling once in a while. Do you really want that?

What? You are going to cut my last lifeline to NYC? Tragic and mean!

Nooooooo! Please no. Do you really want to do this to us? You don't have to be dying to be interesting. I find the minutiae of your life compelling. Let's compromise - how about an entry a week, eh? That's not too taxing. Or maybe just a photo. Or a series on your bowel movements. Or something. *sigh*.

Shucks. I am disappointed but I can see why.

You're just not dead enough!

I feel the same in reverse. My blog was read by noone until I GOT cancer. We share car crash blogs, as it were. But I will miss this window on your life, even in the good bits. And reading through the bad bits and having your personal advice to me has helped me enormously.

So I will allow you to end it if you must. But do not delete it - I would love to refer to it from time to time.

And do not, whatever you do, disappear off my radar. Your and jude's comments on mine, and the emails etc, all mean great things. And not just because I;ve been hitting the cancer thing, but because it's just been really nice to be back in touch after all these years.

We love ya baby

Nice tho' it is to keep up with your comings and goings, this blogthing is a shameful waste of your time - go write something more useful like your books.

They could have done with you on 'The truth behind celebrity adverts' that i was watching the other day - what a bunch of morons they had providing 'insight'. Anyway, tata for now

Ok, well, I guess this means this is it. I have waited weeks now and I realise you're not ever going to come back. It makes me very sad. Very, very sad. I thought you might relent. Just taunt us to see how much you were really loved. But alas. It wasn't a joke.

What you don't understand is Chris is a terrible correspondent. He haemorrages friends. Not because he doesn't love them, he's just neglectful.

There's only one solution. We'll have to move back to the States - or wherever you two plan to be. Desperate times call for desperate actions.
